Upper Vobster Farm Luxury Self-Catering Accommodation

We came for a writing retreat for 3 nights and the farm was very conducive - very quiet, amazing grounds for long walks, different places to sit and write. Natalie was a superstar, very helpful and incredibly friendly. We felt right at home. We loved learning about the animals. Very well equipped kitchen, deliciously comfy beds, great water pressure. All round highly recommend!

Wonderful, restful stay at a lovely location. Great communication and helpful digital guide. The Dovecote was cosy for a couple, great attention to detail and very well equiped. Lovely walks around the farm, very well maintained and obviously very well thought out with places to sit and ponder the world. Perfect for a post Christmas pre New Year get away and offered much needed sanctury! Welcome pack very welcome and Natalie makes brownies to die for from the farms duck eggs! Warmly welcomed on arrival by Natalie who was also around on departure (we brought some more brownies!). We wished we could have stayed longer, but will definately be back when our batteroes need recharging!

Of all the country retreat homes i have experienced, Vobster is an absolute standout. A superb setting, perfectly managed with nothing held back in all the home's appointments. The attention to detail and comfort is phenomenal. It can not be more highly recommended.

I felt so nurtured staying here, my room “Dovecote” was so beautiful and fresh and clean. There were fresh flowers in my room, on the table outside and gardens were spilling over with flowers of every colour. Apples on trees to eat at my leisure and lovely walks on the farm, gumboots supplied - cute sheep and chickens - the place is an absolute delight and everything you need is supplied. I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. We just left after a family weekend getaway from London (me, hubs, 2-year-old) and we’re already dreaming of our return. Spotless rooms with everything you need and the coziest beds. Stunning grounds with roses everywhere you look. And hospitality that made our stay so special - from the heavenly hamper of goodies to the morning nature walks where our daughter could visit the animals. Nothing short of magical.

We had the most wonderful weekend at upper Vobster farm. The room we had (valley view) was absolutely stunning. Everything was spotless and beautifully decorated. I particularly loved opening up the door to the courtyard every morning. The farm itself and the surrounding area is beautiful. It felt like a mini paradise - I could have stayed forever! My son was doing a course at nearby Vobster quay - which was within walking distance (15-20 min walk) - so the location was perfect for us. We can’t wait to come back.

We spent a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend at Upper Vobster Farm .My 4 year old daughter wanted to stay there forever to help feed the animals in the morning , gather the hen eggs , wade in the stream and run around the beautiful grounds.Lara the gardener does a great job! The accomodation was spotless and the people there very welcoming, especially Natalie the farm manager who patiently answered lots of questions about everything to do with the farm. .thank you Natalie for making a little girl very happy and making our stay very relaxing!

Beautiful property that feels serene and peaceful. I loved feeding the farm animals one morning and sitting by the ponds surrounded by beautiful trees and hills. My room was lovely and had everything I needed with nice extra touches and welcome basket. Highly recommend!
